Therapy, booking and cancellation terms
BWRT Yorkshire is a specialist website within the Thinking Free practice. BWRT appointments are subject to the current full Thinking Free Therapy, Booking & Cancellation Terms, which also describe statutory consumer rights.
Appointments and payment
Therapy begins with a discussion of your concerns and an assessment of suitability. The practice does not guarantee a particular result. The current fees are on Fees & FAQs. Where payment is required in advance, the booking is confirmed when the required payment is received.
Changing or cancelling an appointment
If you cancel more than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment, you can generally choose a full refund or a transfer to another available appointment. A cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice, or non-attendance, normally results in the session fee being forfeited. Exceptions may be considered at the therapist’s discretion. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
Distance-booking rights
Services booked online or at a distance can be subject to a statutory 14-day cancellation period. Different rules may apply if you expressly request that therapy begins during that period or a service is fully performed. The full practice terms explain this in detail and include a model cancellation form. If in doubt, please ask before booking.
Confidentiality and medical care
Therapy is confidential within applicable legal and professional limits. It is not a replacement for appropriate medical or psychiatric assessment and care. Do not change prescribed medication without advice from your prescriber. Thinking Free is not an emergency or crisis service.
Online appointments
You are responsible for arranging a reasonably private location for online sessions. If a technical problem prevents a session, we will discuss a practical alternative or rescheduling.
